Homework 3
Directions
To receive full credit, for all problems, compute confidence intervals, \(P\)-values, etc. in two ways:
- Directly, using the results from the SLRGN model.
- Using R's built-in functionality, e.g. confint, summary, etc.
For problems that ask you to compute a confidence interval, also plot a confidence curve using confcurve and comment on what the confidence curve indicates about how well the population parameter is estimated.
Chapter 2
Complete the following 8 problems:
- Problem 2.1
- Problem 2.2
- Problem 2.3
- Problem 2.4a-b
- For part b, test using a \(P\)-value.
- Problem 2.6a-d
- For part b, test using a \(P\)-value.
- Problem 2.17
- Problem 2.27
- Compute the one-sided \(P\)-value for the given null hypothesis.
- Problem 2.30
