Homework 20
Problems
Instructions:
- For problems with unknown population standard deviations, use Welch's \(t\)-test via the welch-t-test.R script to compute \(P\)-values and construct confidence intervals (bounds) as we did in class. Do not use the \(Z\)-statistic and do not compute these quantities by hand.
- Be sure you specify the correct alternative hypothesis.
- Be sure you specify the correct null difference.
- Be sure you specify the correct significance (confidence) level.
- For hypothesis tests, you should follow the full 7-step procedure of stating the claim, determining the null and alternative hypotheses, etc.
